Horror Character Analysis

This character is a well-known character for the saw movies, he is a killer called jigsaw. He had tried to kill himself multiple of times but has failed, on the third time of trying, and failing, he realises the importance of life and how the body can take a lot. He decides to make a “game” to show people the importance of life to try and stop them treating their own lives badly and others around them badly. These games are almost like therapy for these people, however they are deadly “games” that involve the murder of one another and the chance of their own lives to be taken. Jigsaw chooses people that do bad things like murderers and drug addicts, people that harm others or themselves. The character himself has an eerie look to him, he is represented himself as a puppet which adds to the creepiness of this guy himself. The puppet has red and black eyes giving him a dark and mean look. He is dresses very smartly, as if it is a special even watching people die and get mutated. He has a constant smile painted on his face to show the enjoyment the man himself is getting from this evil that he thinks may help these people. The puppets face is white, this and his moth resemble a clown, and may people have fears of clowns so this could add to the all-round scariness of the movie. The twirls on his checks also look like clown makeup. The victims are put into a game and when you play a game you are in control, the puppet could foreshadow this as the person behind it is controlling the puppet, again much like a person would when they play a game.
